seeking an experienced Project Engineer to provide leadership and
direction for design projects funded by the U.S. Department of
Energy. This position will act as the lead for multi-discipline
designs and will interface with client representatives, internal
project management, and engineering staff. APTIM is looking to
develop passionate and motivated project engineers into project
management professionals and equip them to become leaders in a

Responsibilities and Accountabilities:Maintains frequent and
consistent verbal and written communication with clients, partners,
and APTIM leadership on the status of engineering
deliverablesProvides direction and oversight to the architectural
and engineering design leads on an assigned projectResponsible for
the execution of engineering deliverables including the engineering
schedule, budget, document controls, and staffingEstablishes and
develops project procedures to ensure deliverables meet client and
established engineering and project requirementsIdentifies
conflicts, requests, and requirements and liaisons with the
engineering teamMaintains and promotes a focus on APTIM's end
product whether engineering, fabrication, procurement, or
constructionSupports development of contract proposalsAs needed,
visits project sites to monitor activities throughout project
lifecycleBasic Qualifications:Candidate must be a U.S.
CitizenCandidate must be willing and able to obtain a US Security
Clearance to support the projectsRequires Bachelors of Science
degree in Engineering or related field from an accredited
programLicensed Professional Engineer10+ years of relevant
engineering experienceAbility to quickly acquire a working
knowledge of program- or project-specific standards, procedures,
and correspondenceWell organized and confident in communicating to
clients and internal teamDemonstrated experience in leading
multi-discipline architect and engineering teams from design
through construction and project closeoutExperience relaying
technical subject matter to diverse audiencesCandidate must be
willing to travel to support project needsDesired/Preferred
Qualifications:Previous DOE project experienceASME NQA-1
experienceCurrent or former US security clearancePrevious
experience working with teaming subcontractors to produce
